Giovanni Colombo, M.D., F.A.C.S.

Giovanni Colombo, MD, FACSDr. Colombo was born in Brooklyn, New York and grew up in southern New Jersey. He obtained his undergraduate education at Duke University in Chemistry and Biochemistry in 1983, where he graduated with honors. He then attended Loyola University in Chicago where he received his medical degree in 1987.

Following medical school, Dr. Colombo trained in general surgery for two years at Ohio State University. He then completed his urology training at Ohio State University Hospital, Columbus Children’s Hospital and The Arthur James Cancer Center, where he received extensive training in the treatment of cancerous and noncancerous prostate disease, pediatric urology and reconstructive urology surgery.

Dr. Colombo has been associated with Peoria Urological Associates Since 1992. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Urology and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is also a member of the American Urological Association, American Association of Clinical Urologists, American Medical Association, Illinois State Medical Society, Peoria Medical Society and American Lithotripsy Society.

Dr. Colombo resides with his family in Dunlap. In his free time he enjoys playing tennis and cooking.
