Meet Dr. Banno

Joseph J. Banno, MD

Joseph Banno was born in Chicago, Illinois and attended Illinois Benedictine College where he majored in Biology and Biochemistry. Upon receiving his medical degree at the University of Illinois in Chicago, he began his surgical residency at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, Illinois. His training continued in urology at the University of Chicago and Children’s Memorial Hospital in Chicago.

Physician Assistant / Nurse Practitioner

This is a full-time, on-site Physician Assistant role located in Peoria, IL. The Physician Assistant will work closely with urologists and other medical professionals to diagnose and treat urological conditions. Responsibilities include conducting patient assessments, performing diagnostic tests, developing treatment plans, prescribing medications, assisting during procedures, and providing follow-up care. The role also requires patient education, documentation of medical records, and collaboration with the medical team to ensure comprehensive care.
